Amberleigh Stud - Show Team

SHOW TEAM

Amberleigh Stud currently has 5 horses and ponies in their show team and does not intend to breed anymore for a couple of seasons. The Show Team we have got will alternate between the South Island Show Scene and our only inhand pony "Amberleigh Spring Cup" we are looking forward to breaking her in during the winter of 2012 and showing her under saddle.

AMBERLEIGH ASCOT

Jordan a 9 year old Grey Gelding who has won multi Supreme Titles inhand and under saddle. He is a full brother to Grand Prix Dressage and Multi Supreme Show Hack "AMBERLEIGH ELITE" Jordans current season major accomplishments are the 2010 Supreme Hack at Canterbury A & P Show, 2011 NZ National Showcase Open Saddle Hunter Hack, plus many other Supreme Hack awards at various A & P Shows.

Elvis is a 6 year old Bay gelding and a half brother to multi Supreme Champion Show Hacks, and Grand Prix Dressage Horse "AMBERLEIGH ASCOT" and "AMBERLEIGH ELITE". He has had numerous Supreme awards inhand and under saddle. Current Season wins include Champion Hack at the Canterbury A & P Show, NZ National Showcase Open Hack and Paced and Mannered Horse, plus many Supreme titles at various A & P Shows with rider Jane Bailey

Sire: Pendley Gold Cup (Aust) Dam: Taratanui Muirlea Rise
Jayne, a 4 year old bay mare, Current NZ National Showcase Title holder for the Open Pony up to 138cm and the NZ Riding Pony Society winner at the 2010 Canterbury A & P Show. This is Jaynes first full season under saddle after winning multi supremes inhand and is now taking out these awards under saddle. Her new rider now is Gemma Holden

Amberleigh Primadonna

Abby a 3 year old brown mare is the youngest in the show team under saddle this season, securing Reserve Champion Novice Pony up to 148cm at her first outting at the Canterbury A & P Show, also being award the 2011 NZ National Showcase Open Pony up to 148cm with Rider Thomas Madigan from Australia

Katie at her new home

Amberleigh Stud is delighted that "Amberleigh Gold Star" is now in the North Island at her new home with Vanessa and Craig Dunderdale, and her new Rider Emma Dunderdale. We have no doubt that once Emma and Katie become familiar with each other they will be competing at the highest level in the North Island and will have many years of fun and enjoyment ahead of them. We look forward to seeing them at shows in the future.

Amberleigh Elite

14 year old Grey Mare. Numerous winner of Supreme Hack titles Inhand and Under Saddle. Elle has now retired from the show ring and is competing successfully in Dressage with Dressage Rider Sally Field-Dodgson. Elle is now competing at Grand Prix and has had many prestigious titles under her belt

AMBERLEIGH RESEMBLENCE

Jamie is a Multi Supreme Champion Park Hack under saddle and inhand.
Jamie has been taken out of retirement and competing with Amanda and Sarah Lee having not lost any of his chrisma already winning Supreme Hack titles again. Recent wins the Senior Nydfa at the 2008 Canterbury Royal Show, Supreme Hack at Temuka/Geraldine A & P, Supreme Hack at the Mayfield A & P Show and Champion Park Hack at the Methven A & P Show with Sarah Lee.

RIDER PROFILES

Jane Bailey has had many wins in Rider classes and Champion Riders and has ridden many of the horses and ponies at Amberleigh Stud to Champion and Supreme Awards. Jane works full time at Amberleigh Stud schooling and breaking in the horses and ponies we have bred. At present Jane is competing on Amberleigh After Dark and also Amberleigh Ascot.

Gemma Holden Gemma is new to the show ring in Canterbury and we are most impressed with her ability and attitude, and believe she will be one of the top riders in the South Island in a short period of time having now won 4 rider classes from 4

Thomas Madigan TJ has ridden for Amberleigh Stud for over 3 years and has won all the Major Riding Awards in Australia and his latest achievement is the Queensland Junior Rider of the Year and we are grateful that he has always made himself available to come over to ride for us when needed and those in NZ that have seen him ride would be aware of the talent he has.
